第２戦隊　「山城」（やましろ）
2S YAMASHIRO

　超弩級戦艦「山城」の登場です。「山城」は第２戦隊僚艦の「扶桑」と同型艦ですが、実際には艦橋形状や３番砲塔の向きが違っていますので、容易に識別可能です。「扶桑」のアバンギャルドで独特な艦橋形状と違って、「山城」の艦橋は正統派の趣きがあり重厚感が漂っていまして、案外「山城」ファンが多いのも頷けます。

The super-dreadnought type battleship YAMASHIRO is just made. YAMASHIRO is the same type ship of 2nd fleet comrade vessel FUSO. We can easily distinguish YAMASHIRO to FUSO, because the form of bridge and the direction of the 3rd turret are different in fact.
Unlike the avant-garde form of FUSO's bridge, the bridge of YAMASHIRO has the charm of an orthodox and a dignified impression. Unexpectedly, there are many YAMASHIRO fan.

　「扶桑」と同じく乾舷が低いせいか、艦橋の高さが目立ちます。艦橋そのものは案外幅が小さかったようです。
　張り線はいつもの通り０．０３７ｍｍφ鮎釣り用金属釣り糸を使用、外舷色はグンゼクレオスの「横須賀工廠色」で塗装しています。艦尾の搭載水偵は９５式水偵で、定数は３機でした。

Because the ship's side is low the height of the bridge is conspicuous. The width of the bridge is unexpected small.
