「千歳」に続いて、「千代田」が竣工しました。私は、いかにもメカニック丸出しのこういう特殊な艦艇が好きでして、クレーンの林立する姿に魅せられます。各種クレーン、ボートダビット、マストのヤード、手すり等は全てエッチングパーツを使いました。この艦からヤードにもエッチングパーツを使い始めましたが、中々精密感が出るようです。

CHIYODA is just completed after CHITOSE. I indeed prefer to this sort of mechanical and special naval vessels. I am captivated by the figure of the forest of the cranes. I used the photo-etched parts as the various kinds of cranes, mast yard, boat dabits, handrails etc. As I began to use the exclusive photo-etched arts to the mast yard from this ship, quite precise impressions seems to be obtained.
