第11航空戦隊　「千歳」（ちとせ）

　「千歳」が竣工しました。私は、いかにもメカニック丸出しのこういう特殊な艦艇が好きでして、クレーンの林立する姿に魅せられます。各種クレーン、ボートダビット、マストのヤード、手すり等は全てエッチングパーツを使いました。この艦からヤードにも専用エッチングパーツを使い始めましたが、中々精密感が出るようです。

CHITOSE is just completed. I indeed prefer to this sort of mechanical and special naval vessels. I am captivated by the figure of the forest of the cranes. I used the photo-etched parts as the various kinds of cranes, mast yard, boat dabits, handrails etc. As I began to use the exclusive photo-etched arts to the mast yard from this ship, quite precise impressions seems to be obtained.

　なお、ジオラマにすることを考えて、停泊状態に設定してみました。繋止索は真鍮線とエッチングパーツのラッタルを使って表現しました。また舷梯は、市販のエッチングパーツを組み立てたものです。

Well, I set up CHITOSE in anchoring condition, in consideration of making a diorama. The mooring ropes are expressed by using the brass rod and the photo-etched parts of ladder. Also the gangway ladder is the one that assembled the photo-etched parts of commercial.
