この「子の日」「夕暮」は戦前仕様にして、ピットロードのキットをほぼ素組みに近い感覚で製作しました。もちろん可能な限りエッチングパーツや真鍮線を使っています。戦前仕様のため、舷外電路は不要で製作の手間が１つ省けています(^^)。
ピットロードの各キットに共通して言えるのですが、舷窓のモールドが甘いので、貫通しないように気をつけながら０．６ｍｍφドリルで穴をさらってやります。あとはマストを真鍮線に替え、手すり、ラッタル、爆雷投射台、方位測定儀（リング状アンテナ）等をエッチングパーツと真鍮線で作りました。

These are NENOHI and YUGURE as the specification at the time of
prewar. These works are produced from the kits of the PITROAD
obediently. Needless to say I am using photo-etched parts and
brass rods as long as possible . Because the specification is set
at the time of prewar, the degaussing coils are not necessary.
Because the portholes of the kit are slightly shallow, they are
carved carefully with a 0.6 mmφ drill so as not to penetrate.
As it is ordinary, I made the masts with the brass rods of 0.4mmφ,
0.25mmφ and I changed the handrails, ladders, depth bomb
equipments, loop antenna to the photo-etched parts.

２０００年１２月に前後マスト間を伸ばしランナーを使って張り線し、２５ｍｍ機銃、内火艇ダビッド、魚雷積み込みダビットをエッチングパーツに換装してディテールアップを施しました。
Furthermore,
the
tension lines were stretched between the front and back mast of
NENOHI and YUGURE in
December 2000. I don't use the 0.037mmφ metal line for sweetfish
fishing but the extended thin plastic stick . Also, I changed the 25mm twin MG,
motor launch davits and the torpedo loading derrick to the
photo-etched parts
for further elaboration.
下の画像も全て「夕暮」です。基本的に「子の日」と「夕暮」は同型艦であり、１／７００模型の世界では無視してもおかしくない範囲の差異に留まります。製作可能な範囲での「子の日」と「夕暮」の主な違いは、
a：後部煙突横の単装機銃が、「子の日」ではビッカース社製の毘式４０ｍｍ単装機銃２型、「夕暮」では同じく毘式４０ｍｍ単装機銃３型である。これらの機銃は、キットの説明書（「初霜」のもの）に従い付属パーツを使い分けることにより、差異を表現出来る。
b：艦尾対潜兵器の爆雷装填台とＹ型爆雷投射器の配置が、両タイプで逆になっている。「子の日」はキットのモールドのままで良く、「夕暮」はＹ型投射器が後にくる。
c：艦尾信号燈の設置位置は、「夕暮」の方が高い位置にあり（「初霜」と同じ位置）、「子の日」とはあきらかに違いが見られる。
といった点があげられます。
Three sheets of images showed below are all YUGURE. Fundamentally
NENOHI and YUGURE are the same type ship. There exists few
differences in the world of 1/700 models. Main differences of
both ships are as follows.
a： About the single machine gun both side of the back chimney,
NENOHI installed the Vickers made 40mm machine gun type-2 and
YUGURE installed the sameVickers made 40mm machine gun type-3.
These machine guns are able to express the difference by using
appropriately the belonging parts in accordance with the manual
of the kit.
b: The arrangement of the depth bomb loading unit and Y style
depth bomb projection device of the stern is reverse with both
types. NENOHI is appropriate with just as the kit, YUGURE is
reversed.
c: The position of stern signal light has a difference in NENOHI
and YUGURE obviously as long as I checked the photographs of both
ships. The stern signal light of YUGURE is in a higher position (
same height as HATSUSIMO ) than the one of NENOHI.
実は「有明」「夕暮」においては、右舷７ｍカッターの繋止位置が「初春」「子の日」と異なっている可能性があります。昭和１０年当時に撮られた「有明」の右舷からの鮮明な真横写真を見ると、明らかに右舷７ｍカッターの繋止位置はキットのものより前になっています。
というのも、竣工時の「有明」「夕暮」は左舷７ｍカッターの前に６ｍ通船を置き、そのため左舷７ｍカッターの繋止位置は後にずれ、右舷の繋止位置とオフセットしています。キットではこのあたりのことを全く考慮していませんので、少なくとも「有明」「夕暮」に関しては竣工時を作る場合は、注意が必要です。
しかし昭和１０年時点で左舷艦橋横に置いてあったこの６ｍ通船は、その後開戦前までには撤去されています。そのため７ｍカッターの繋止位置をオフセットする必然性がなくなり、結局他の駆逐艦同様、両舷ともに同じ位置にカッターを繋止するように収まったのではないかと推測しています。
よって私の「有明」「夕暮」は、戦前仕様とはいえ昭和１４年を想定していますので、７ｍカッターに関してはキットのとおりの位置に繋止してあります。
Well, there is the possibility that the position of 7 m cutter of
the starboard is different with ARIAKE and YUGURE from HATSUHARU
and NENOHI. The position of 7m cutter is clearly in the front
from the position of the kit , when we see the clear photograph
of the starboard of ARIAKE that was shot in Showa 10.
Actually, ARIAKE and YUGURE at the time of completion put a small
ship of 6 m before the 7m cutter of the port. Therefore the
position of the 7m cutter of the port transfered a little to the
back and offsetted with the position of the starboard.
The attention is necessary in the case that we make at the time
of completion, because the kit is not considered about the
position of 7m cutter at all.
I think the position of 7m cutter as follows.
The small 6 m ship was removed to before outbreak of war.
Therefore, the necessity that offsets the position of the 7m
cutter disappeared. And probably it became the same position in
all of both sides, as the same as other destroyers.
After all, I set up to the specification in Showa 14 and made
ARIAKE and YUGURE in accordance with the instructions of the kit.
