　重雷装艦時代の資料にほとんどお目にかからないので、学研「特型駆逐艦」のイラストを参考にさせていただきました。それに従い、後部艦橋上部をリノリウム色で塗装してあります。
　手すりとラッタルはエッチングパーツを使用。煙突の雨水除けカバー、方位測定儀、、後マストのヤード、艦尾信号燈は、０．２ｍｍφ、０．２５ｍｍφ、０．３ｍｍφ真鍮線で作ってあります。艦尾ダビッドはエッチングパーツです。

The data and drawings in a heavy torpedo-equipped ship that deserve a reference hardly exist. So, I refered the illustration of the book that was published GAKKEN. In accordance with this illustration I coated the back bridge upper part with linoleum color.
I used the etching parts for the handrails, ladders and stern derricks. I made the funnel frames for canvas cover and goniometer antenna with a 0.2 mmφ brass rod. I made the yard of both masts, manoeuvring lights with a 0.25mmφ and 0.3mmφ brass rod.

　１４ｃｍ砲塔は従来のピットロードの武装セットではかなりオーバースケールでしたが、このキットではスケールダウンして違和感なく出来ています。
　搭載された９２式３型４連装魚雷発射管ですが、ごく最近出版された学研の太平洋戦史シリーズ「球磨・長良・川内型」によると、多面形の箱のようなシールドが着けられていたようです。作例では、キットのパーツをそのまま使ってあります。

The 14cm turrets in the armaments set of PITROAD were too big. The 14cm turrets of this kit have modified size. Thus, sense of incongruity decreased.
The fact that the box like shield was attached to the quadrupe Type 92 Model 3 torpedo-tube mount became clear recently. Because the detail of the shield is indistinct so far, I used the parts of torpedo tube incluiding in the kit.
