第３艦隊第１６戦隊　「長良」（ながら）

　「長良」はキットでは最終時仕様となっていまして、船体にモールドされた上部構造や武装状況が異なりますので、開戦時仕様にするには修正が必要となります。私は「鬼怒」の船体と「長良」の艦橋、煙突の各パーツを合体させました。シェルター甲板はキットでは最終時仕様になっているため、構造物のモールドが異なるので、不要部分を削り落としパテとプラ板で修正しました。
　開戦時仕様に欠かせない舷外電路は、キットでは船体にすでにモールドされています。しかし見た目若干細いような気がしますので、一旦全て削り落として、0.3mm幅の細いプラ棒で付け替えました。

You know the TAMIYA kit of NAGARA is specified at the time of the final condition. The modification is necessary to make the specification at the time of outbreak of war, because the superstructure and armaments situation of kit differ to a great degree.
I used a KINU kit as a hull and combined with many parts of the bridge and chimney of NAGARA kit. The shelter deck of the kit is specified at the time of the final and the structure differs from at the time of outbreak of war. I shaved off an unnecessary part and modified with pate and plastic board.
The degaussing coils side of the hull are indispensable to the warship at the time of outbreak of war. Because the coils molded on the side of kit hull seems a little thin, I shaved off those and renewed using a thin (0.3mm width) plastic rod.

　「長良」は開戦前に舞鶴で臨戦準備作業を行い、パラオで開戦を迎えました。舞鶴鎮守府所属ですので、外舷色は舞鶴工廠色になります。他の鎮守府所属艦に比べ、かなり明るい灰色になります。

NAGARA was performed the battle preparation work in Maizuru and entered upon the time of outbreak of war in Palau Is. She was Maizuru naval district assignment. So, the color of her was Maizuru arsenal color. This color was fairly bright ash-colored compared with other arsenal color.
